Electrical fittings.
Brass for the body. Copper where current actually flows.
Terminal blocks, distribution blocks, contact pins and sockets, cable grippers, terminal bars, and bus bars — in free-cutting brass and high-conductivity copper for panel, switchgear, and wiring work.
Give us current rating, conductor size, pole count, and thread. That is enough to quote the right component.
Brass for structure and machinability. Copper for conductivity.
Free-cutting brass (IS 319 / BS 249, CW614N) is used for terminal blocks, pins, cable grippers, and structural fittings — conductivity around 27 MS/m, with the machinability and corrosion resistance those parts need. Electrolytic copper C11000 (99.9% Cu min., ≥58 MS/m) is used for bus bars, earthing plates, and current-carrying flats. Aluminium bus bar is quoted where the panel spec calls for it.
What a buyer typically specifies.
For panel builders who specify conductivity, not just a metal name.
